It’s almost 2013 so it’s time for my annual look back over the previous 12 months. I’ve been doing this for a couple of years now and it’s a fun way to look back over the year. I thought I’d shake it up a bit this year and just take a look back over my highs and lows (but hopefully there won’t be too many of them) of the previous 12 months.
I’d also like to say a huge Thank You to you all for popping in here to listen to my ramblings. Thank you for reading and commenting on this blog, for your interaction on my social networks and
I started putting up the Christmas decorations over the weekend. As with other years, I’ve stuck with specific colour schemes in different rooms. There is still lots to do, but I thought I’d give you a peek of what’s happening so far.
Continuing on my Christmas themed posts, I thought I’d give you some ideas for decorating your hallway. I think the hall is one of the most important areas in a home to decorate as it gives your guests the first peek of the festive cheer that lies beyond!
When it comes to decorating my home, I have a few Christmas themes which I alternate over the years to keep my décor looking fresh. Here are my tips on how to create a Stylish Christmas in your home.
If you’re going to spend so much time and energy preparing a magnificent banquet for your family, you want a wow table to show it off! I’ve put together some striking table settings which I’m sure will inspire you and make your Christmas table sparkle!
One of my favourite on-line stores in this country is Garrendenny Lane Interiors. They are undergoing something of a transformation in the New Year and as such ALL yes that’s right people ALL stock items are available at massively reduced rates.
One thing I always have in my home is scented candles. There is something about the scent of a candle that soothes the soul and fills your home with a warm inviting feeling.
The season of wrapping paper and ribbon is upon us. But don’t get stressed this year frantically rummaging through the house locating scissors, pens, ribbon and tags. Here are some simple and inspirational ways for you to organise your gift wrapping.
Now that we have replaced our front door, I “simply must” have a lovely Christmas Wreath to show it off perfectly
I am going with an artificial one as I want to have lights on it. Are you making a Christmas Wreath this year? If you are I’d love to see it. Send me a link or upload a photo to my Facebook page.
Make your presents quite literally stand out from the rest.
Take some inspiration from this years cold crisp winter and choose a white scheme for your Christmas decorating.
The fire is roaring and the lights on the tree are twinkling. Add the gorgeous glow of candlelight and spicy scents infusing a room and you’ve got yourself a fairytale Christmas.
Lorna from Garrendenny Lane kindly invited me to write a guest post with a festive feel. It was an honour to be asked and I hope you enjoy it.
Just because your gifts may not be as costly or elaborate as previous years, doesn’t mean that you still can’t wow your family and friends. With a little bit of creativity you can turn your gifts into a little works of art.
After the guests and the food, one of the most important things to consider when entertaining, is the table setting. The dining table sets the stage and creates the wow factor for your guests when they enter the room. Learn how to make your table sparkle.
